Avril Lavigne is not someone to mess with, especially on stage. A topless lady stormed the stage during the 2023 Juno Awards, a Canadian music awards ceremony, to protest a proposed development project in Ontario, Canada.
The protester, who was dressed in pink leggings and nipple pasties, had phrases such as “Save the Greenbelt” and “Land Back” inscribed in black ink on her body. She was speaking out against the Ontario government’s plan to begin development on formerly protected Greenbelt area in order to create 50,000 new houses by 2025.
When the protester circled the stage, Avril Lavigne attempted to continue speaking while security worked to remove her. Nevertheless, Lavigne had had enough and urged the demonstrator to “f—- off” and referred to her as a “bitch.”
Later in the ceremony, Lavigne returned to the stage to win the TikTok Juno fan choice award, warning that “nobody try anything this time or the Canadian will come out of me, and I’ll f—- a bitch up.”
Despite the unexpected disruption, Lavigne’s followers continued to express their love for her on social media. On Twitter, the artist thanked her followers and even made light of the situation, writing, “Let’s keep rocking for the next 20 years! ‘Get the f—- off, bitch!'”

This wasn’t Lavigne’s only surprise recently, as she also made headlines for making her new relationship with rapper Tyga public during Paris Fashion Week. They went to shows together and even kissed outside the Mugler X Hunter Schafer party. This comes barely a month after Lavigne and her fiancé Mod Sun called it quits.
